Crystal Palace reject Manchester United's Wan Bissaka bid

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Man Utd have made a ‘substantial bid’ for Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan Bissaka

"I don't know why teams don't buy them and then leave them with their club and loan them back for a season or two, just to get that maturity".

Manchester United have been rebuffed in their bid to sign Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky Sports.

Having already agreed a deal in principle for Swansea's Welsh worldwide Daniel James, it was reported over the weekend that United had submitted a "substantial" offer for England Under-21 global, Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old burst onto the scene in 2018-19 with the Eagles and has been identified as a main target in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Man United rebuild.

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan expected to miss Black Caps clash
The team managements aim clearly is to try and give Dhawan a chance to regain full fitness so that they don't lose his services. Shikhar Dhawan had gone for a scan on Monday and the report reveals he has a hairline fracture on his left thumb.

Now, further reports which have been mirrored by a number of leading newspapers including The Telegraph have claimed that United's bid for Wan Bisska, which was made earlier this month was worth "over £40 million", but has been rejected by Crystal Palace.

That is a lot of money for Ed Woodward to splash on a young talent, and he might be better off trying to pull off another Daniel James move.

Wan-Bissaka played 35 Premier League games for Palace last season and his manager Roy Hodgson has insisted he has no intention of selling him this summer.

"He wasn't mature enough and didn't really settle in at Man United". Will they take a risk and go all out for the England global? Other top sides are looking at the the right-back as well, and United do not want to lose him.

Ashleigh Barty books French Open final place with win over Anisimova
Ms Barty is already guaranteed a minimum of $1.9 million AUD in prize money and if she wins, she will take home $3.7 million. The highest-seeded player in the semifinals is No. 8 Ash Barty , the Australian who will face Anisimova.

After Antonio Valencia's departure this summer, Ashley Young is essentially the first-choice right-back, much to the dismay of many United fans.

However, Salako believes the 21-year-old can develop better at Palace for another few seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier is among the options if a fee for Wan-Bissaka can not be agreed, but Arsenal are also interested in the Belgium worldwide.
