The foursome - Emma Bunton, 43, Mel Brown, 43, Mel C, 45 and Geri Horner, 46 - put on a high-energy performance in front of 56,000 fans at the city's famous Croke Park stadium.

The show kicked off with Baby, Scary, Ginger and Sporty taking to the stage in extravagant fashion for their first number, wearing hand-embellished Swarovski crystal costumes designed by Gabriella Slade.

She said: "In '98, we started our world tour in Dublin, so we truly are home".

At one point, Horner told the crowd: "We're four grown women dressed as a superhero, a princess, a queen, and a leopard - I hope you all get a good laugh out of it because it's all for you".
