If the issue of terrorism had not existed, disagreements would not have arisen between the two countries, Imran Khan said at a joint press conference with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran on Monday, apparently referring to disputes over recent terrorist attacks mounted from Pakistani soil against Iranian border guards.
"We agreed to increase the security cooperation of the two countries, our border forces, our intelligence forces". Iran, for its part, condemned the massacre and agreed to create a joint border "reaction force".
Mr Khan's visit to Iran, the first since he took office previous year, comes after gunmen who Islamabad says were based in Iran killed 14 members of Pakistan's security forces last week in its own Balochistan province.
The supreme leader while asserting that the relations between the two neighbours should be strengthened praised great Pakistani figures like Muhammad Iqbal Lahori and Muhammad Ali Jinnah and urged the two nations to boost friendly ties, adding that: Good relations will benefit both countries.
