North Carolina basketball: Amid their best ACC stretch in five years, Tar Heels sense special season shaping up

The long-time North Carolina coach went down to one knee on the sideline and had to be helped off the court to the locker room during the Tar Heel's 81-79 victory over the Tigers on Saturday at Clemson. It's excruciating pain for a little while.

North Carolina meets Clemson on Saturday night having won 11 of its last 12 games, its most successful run during ACC play since the 2013-14 season.

So the question on everyone's mind is "what happened?"

Williams has had a long battle with vertigo, and some of UNC's players have seen this exact scary scenario play out before.

"I just wanted to let y'all know I'm alive", Williams said after the game. I started feeling a heck of a lot better. If we had lost, I would have gone back out there with him.

Williams also collapsed during a game in 2016.
