Now, the 488 is being replaced, but Ferrari's changing up its nomenclature a bit - and adding more power, natch. As with the 488 Pista, the F8 Tributo's aero package is directly evolved from the track and it adopts several features from the 488 Pista created to help manage engine heat, including, for instance, the rearward-angled front radiators and the dynamic engine air intakes positioned either side of the spoiler instead of on the rear flanks. This morning, Ferrari pulled the wraps off the magnificent F8 Tributo. It is essentially a Ferrari 488 GTB updated with everything Ferrari has learnt in the past four years - be it in terms of design, powertrain, suspension, electronics and features.
Pricing for the F8 Tributo have not yet been announced, but it should start at around $250,000 and is making its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. That's enough, promises the Prancing Horse brand, for a 2,9-second sprint from standstill to 100 km/h (with the blast to 200 km/h taking a claimed 7,8 seconds).

Most obvious of all is the adoption of the "S-Duct", which effectively amounts to a front wing. New brake cooling intakes up front help improve airflow. Weight reduction, including a Lexan engine cover in a nod to the F40, does save around 90lb over the 488 GTB though. The driver-oriented setup is complemented by the smaller steering wheel which makes the cabin feel sportier and improves driving feel. Highlights include a new HMI (Human Machine Interface), new multifunction steering wheel, round air vents, and a 7-inch passenger touchscreen display.
