Gueye asks Everton to let him join PSG

Idrissa Gueye hands in transfer request after Everton reject PSG bid

"No new offers" for Gueye

PSG are reported to remain undeterred in their intention to sign Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye despite the Toffees rejecting their most recent bid, as they are expected to return with an improved offer before the window closes on Thursday.

The midfielder was the subject of intense interest from Paris Saint-Germain throughout January.

Gueye's racked up 19 starts under Marco Silva this season and has become an essential part of his starting line-up during the current campaign.

Calls Mount For Northam To Resign Over 'Disturbing' Yearbook Photo
Ralph Northam had to look to his wife to get an answer, before responding: "My wife says 'inappropriate circumstances'". Donald McEachin , who represents a safe Democratic seat, also called for Northam to resign late Friday night.

Gueye has reportedly restated his desire to leave Goodison before the 11pm deadline following a month-long pursuit of him by PSG but it appears as though the French club will have to offer around £35m.

"From a technical point of view, as a manager, he is a really important player for us, and he is one player we don't think to lose in this market".

Gueye, who has demanded a move to PSG, is now in conflict with his manager, being left out because Silva feels that the player is not in the right state of mind.

After they were thumped 6-2 at home by Tottenham in their last game before Christmas, Everton have recorded three wins and three losses in the Premier League. Nobody has told me. They never told me to prepare to replace him.

"He really likes our club, he is enjoying playing in our club". Of course it was a good opportunity for Gana, but it's a fantastic opportunity to stay with us also.
