Unpaid Fyre Festival Caterer Raises Thousands in Donations on GoFundMe

Online fund for unpaid Fyre festival staff raises tens of thousands

To learn about McFarland's scamming origins and partnership with Ja Rule: Both Both films focus on how McFarland started as an entrepreneur in NY; he founded Magnises, a members-only credit card company for wealthy millennials that offered benefits such as tickets to high-profile events (spoiler alert: these benefits didn't exist.) Along with covering his first venture, the two films also show how he came to partner with Ja Rule for Fyre Festival and touch on how the event was supposed to be a launching point for the Fyre app, a Tinder-esque swiping platform to book A-list performers at events. Some people paid thousands of dollars apiece to fly in on chartered planes, expecting to hear performances by Blink-182 and other acts.

The pregnant comedian took to Instagram with a photo of the "luxury" tents from the festival, which turned out to be disaster relief tents, surrounded by boxes of trash and lone mattresses on the ground. At the time, McFarland and others were in the process of planning another scam, called "NYC VIP Access".

Rule was one of the organizers of the festival, as was businessman Billy McFarland, who was charged and sentenced to six years in prison for his involvement.

She also revealed that Fyre Fest organizers were checking into all the rooms at the Exuma Point Resort.

Jaguars announce London game opponent for 2019 season
Tottenham Hotspur's new 62,000-seater stadium will host two of the four games, with the other two to be played at Wembley Stadium. It will mark the first time the AFC West rival Chiefs and Chargers have been to Mexico for a game.

However, she says they never paid her.

According to Rolle, she had to employ 10 people for around the clock shifts to provide meals to the hundreds of workers on site, and when she was left empty-handed by the fest's organizer, she had to dig into her own savings account to compensate her employees for their labor.

"I had to literally pay all those people", she said in the Netflix documentary. They invested a lot of money, and that was what I was looking at, the investment that went forward. "I just leave it alone because it really pains me when I have to talk about it, so I just wipe it away".

Rolle recently told ABC News that she spent more than US$100,000 on food and paying her staff.

Manchester United vs. Brighton
Gary Neville has praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for changing the profile of player in the Manchester United team. "I didn't think we played the game out as we should have".

On Monday January 14, a GoFundMe page was set up on Rolle's behalf.

Now desperate, Rolle launched a GoFundMe in a bid to turn her life back around: "As I make this plea it's hard to believe and embarrassing to admit that I was not paid..."

"I went through about $50,000 (£38,000) of my savings that I could've had for a rainy day". As a result, Ja Rule tweeted his responses saying, "I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers", and "I had an unbelievable vision to create a festival like NO OTHER! It just brings tears to see how everybody poured out a heart of love".

Ja Rule was not arrested or charged in connection with McFarland's fraud and the rapper has denied he was involved in defrauding party-goers and locals on the island. "We've never met but I'm devastated that something that was meant to be incredible, turn out to be such a disaster and hurt so many ppl". Adding, "Netflix PAID fuck Jerry who also did all the promo for the festival. the docs clearly have Billy at fault but let's blame the rapper lmao ok".
