"I didn't know anything" about Manafort-Kilimnik polling contacts

Trump Tells ABC’s Jon Karl ‘I Didn’t know Anything About’ Manafort Collusion With Russia

Trump Says He Didn’t Know Manafort Gave Polling Data To Russian Associate

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he was unaware his former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, had passed internal polling data to a Russian business associate.

Akhmetov is one of the richest men in Ukraine and bankrolled the Party of Regions, a Ukrainian political party aligned with Moscow that Manafort worked to bolster. "Nothing about it", he said in response to a reporter's question.

When asked by ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl, "Did you know Paul Manafort was sharing polling data from your campaign with the Russians?"

The defense filing was aimed at rebutting allegations that Manafort intentionally lied to Mueller's team after agreeing to plead guilty last September.

Man arrested for kidnapping Jayme Closs, murdering her parents
Jayme Closs , 13, was missing after her parents were found dead in their home in Barron, Wisconsin, on October 15, 2018. He wrote that he had no additional details to report, but has scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m.

Another witness, testifying against Manafort under oath, said Manafort and Akhmetov "knew each other well".

Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion with Russian Federation and criticized Mueller's ongoing probe as a "witch hunt".

That information was included in a court filing this week that appeared to inadvertently include details not meant to be made public and indicates a pathway by which the Russians could have had access to Trump campaign data.

In their filing, Manafort's lawyers told the judge that they did not need a hearing to hash out Mueller's charges.

Teams who could dethrone Clemson and Alabama
Clemson is hoping for a different outcome this year thanks to a new starting quarterback and an improved offensive line. The two teams were meeting in the College Football Playoff for the fourth consecutive season.

U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered Mueller to respond by January 14 with "factual and evidentiary basis" for why it is accusing Manafort of lying during his cooperation.

Manafort earned millions from his Ukrainian political work over several years, which included wire transfers from Akhmetov and Lyovochkin through offshore bank accounts, prosecutors said at trial.

In the court filing Tuesday that failed to properly redact the sealed materials, Manafort's attorneys also revealed that Mueller had accused their client of exchanging a text message with an unidentified third-party who was asking permission to use Manafort's name "as an introduction in the event the third-party met the President". The request to use Manafort as an introduction to Trump came while Manafort was under indictment in two federal cases.

In addition to the polling data revelation, the filing also showed that Mueller believes Manafort lied to prosecutors about his discussions with Kilimnik about a "Ukrainian peace plan" and a previously undisclosed meeting between Manafort and Kilimnik in Madrid.
