Instagram 'back to normal' after bug triggers temporary change to feed

This is NOT the Christmas gift we wanted, or needed - but the new Instagram update included a new way to scroll through your feed.

The bug led to a small test being distributed widely, the company said.

As mentioned in the update's messaging, Instagram's feed now resembles its Stories feature, giving users the ability to quickly go through each post.

Users were not happy with the update and many of them were tweeting about the change.

He expressed confidence that service to God with clear conscience brought about good tidings and blessings to the believers. This voice is telling us: "Take care of me".

Instagram user Elise Michelle called it: "By far the worst update in Instagram history".

"We quickly fixed the issue and feed is back to normal", Instagram said in an emailed statement.

The app provided instructions to users, writing: "Introducing a New Way to Move Through Posts".

Mosseri confirmed that the update should be cleared for everyone, and to just restart your app if you were still seeing it. One user tweeted, "Instagram, if I wanted Tinder, I would have downloaded Tinder".

Fisheries officials say that whale meat is more popular with older segments of the Japanese population than among the young. Activist groups slammed the decision, with Greenpeace calling it a " sneaky " announcement.

Within minutes the test was rolled back, and the head of Instagram explained that the broad release had been a mistake.

But on Thursday, Instagram expanded the update to the main feed as well, whether intentionally or not.

The following video shows how the tap-to-advance in the feed worked on Instagram.

Winter storm to continue through the night
Winter Storm watches may be issued for this event and this statement will be updated as new information becomes available. There is also the possibility of the snow being mixed with rain, which could also turn into light freezing drizzle.

But on Twitter, angry users were tapping out responses conveying their displeasure with yet another update they didn't ask for.
