There are at least 6,000 migrants who traveled caravan-style from Central America now in Tijuana, Mexico.
Earlier in the evening near the Calexico Port of Entry, Border Patrol agents encountered a 29-year-old man suspected of being in the country illegally, authorities said.
Hundreds of migrants from Central America who joined a caravan of people trying to cross from Mexico into the United States have agreed to go home.
Trump Rallies in MS for Embattled Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith
Two nooses were found hanging at the Mississippi State Capitol on Monday morning around 7:15, according to NBC affiliate WLBT. The senator's comment evoked the lynching of African Americans in a state whose past is rife with racial violence.
Border Patrol officials say they spotted the trio around 11 pm on the night of Saturday, November 24, one mile east of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
Charges were not filed because the administration generally doesn't separate families and because Customs and Border Protection didn't collect enough evidence needed to build cases, including the names of arresting officers, according to a US official familiar with the matter who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
That's when he revealed he was a Honduran citizen and part of MS-13, CBP said.
He also claimed to be traveling with the caravan.
Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith wins divisive Mississippi Senate vote
Republicans defeated Democratic incumbents in Florida, Indiana, Missouri and North Dakota, but lost seats in Arizona and Nevada. Republicans tightened their grip on the Senate last night in a fraught final contest of the 2018 midterm elections.
"It was Border Patrol agents' effort and valued partnership with the Honduran Consulate in Los Angeles that helped us identify a risky convicted felon moving amongst the migrant caravan", San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodney Scott said.
"As President [Donald] Trump and Secretary [Kirstjen] Nielsen warned, over the last few weeks we have identified over 600 known criminals and gang members in the caravan".
"The fact that Border Patrol arrested a murderer within the first caravan-related apprehensions at our southern border proves how real the threat of the caravan is to our national security and public safety", said department spokesman Tyler Q. Houlton.
Warriors' Kevin Durant excited by Stephen Curry return
Curry prefaced the note with "Appreciate you helping us get better Riley!" "We are correcting this now!" he wrote. And as usual, he had some interaction with the players on the court who were aware of his presence.
