Video site YouTube experiencing a worldwide outage

YouTube experiencing "access issues" in apparent global outage

The most infamous YouTube outage took place a decade ago when a Pakistan ISP accidentally took down the video site around the world for several hours.

The Google-owned video website apologised for the issues around accessing YouTube and its YouTube TV and Music subscription services - but has not explained what happened.

YouTube had said it was "working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed".

We will keep this story updated with more details as information becomes available.

Missing writer sours Turkey-Saudi ties
European allies have urged "a credible investigation" and accountability for those responsible. Khashoggi hasn't been seen since he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

YouTube was down for over 30 minutes after its service was abruptly interrupted around the world on Wednesday and Pakistan is being speculated as the source of the outage.

At 6:41 p.m., Team YouTube Tweeted out assurances that the problem would be fixed shortly. Be it YouTube, YouTube TV or YouTube Music, both the video service's sites and mobile apps are down at the moment. Users said that the message "500 Internal Server Error" is what was seen on the screen.

Thankfully, YouTube and other services are back online.

Today, YouTube is the second-most visited website in the world with billions of monthly visitors and more than 1.9 billion logged-in users.
