Graham expressed deep seated anger with his Democratic counterparts for their handling of the accusations from Ford and for California Democratic Sen.

Graham called the allegations "crap" and accused Democrats of using Ford to ruin Kavanaugh's life and to block his confirmation to the Supreme Court. The race is one of the most contentious (and expensive) in the country for this year's midterm elections, seen as an opportunity for Republicans to grab a seat held by a vulnerable Democrat.

"Boy, y'all want power".

"God help anybody else that gets nominated", Graham said.

"I hope the American people can see through this sham", he added. "None! She's as much of a victim as you are", he said, pointing to Kavanaugh. It contains mildly objectionable language. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, on separate Sunday talk shows suggested Feinstein's office might have leaked a confidential letter by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accusing Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school.

He also took aim at Senate Democrats, calling the entire ordeal "a big, fat con job". Kavanaughhas repeatedly denied the accusation and Ford has stood by her allegations.

That is how women have been told to behave when they are angry: to not let anyone know, and to joke and to be sweet and rational and vulnerable.

"I know I'm a single white man from SC and I've been told to shut up but I will not shut up", Graham boomed to the Senate Judiciary Committee. During the earlier session with Ms. Blasey Ford, Republicans deferred to a female sex-crimes prosecutor hired specifically to ask questions.

In testimony earlier Thursday, Blasey Ford said she would welcome an Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into her allegation that a 17-year-old Kavanaugh assaulted her at a house party in 1982, when she was 15.

Graham supported Republicans' successful efforts to block President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nomination of Judge Merrick Garland.

"When it comes to Judge Kavanaugh, there's not an ounce of fairness left in Senate Democrats". And also, did you know, he has female friends and family members that he's never assaulted?

Federal Bureau of Investigation probe ordered, Donnelly announces vote against Kavanaugh
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favour of Kavanaugh along party lines Friday. Ramirez has said Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party in the early 1980s.

Recalling that he voted for Obama nominees Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, the senator told Democrats, "I would never do to them what you've done to this guy".

Immediately following an aggressive line of questioning by Illinois Democratic Sen.

The FBI is now investigating the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh.

"I'm going to call for an investigation of what happened in this committee, whether he betrayed Dr. Ford's trust".

The fact that they agreed to a limited, one-week investigation won't tie their hands when that leaves the nation knowing no more than it did last Friday.

Those bases include Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi; Laughlin AFB, Texas; Sheppard AFB, Texas and Vance AFB, Oklahoma. The Air Force offered further information in its own statement and in comments to reporters, according to Defense News .

Concluding his grandstanding, Graham told Kavanaugh's daughters that he was proud of their father and he believes he is "a good man".
