Eagles plan on playing Christian Hackenberg against Jets

A day after scolding the media for "putting words in my mouth", Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson ended his ill-fated charade attempt by announcing quarterback Nick Foles will be the starter for their season opener Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Nick Foles is the starter and we have complete confidence, obviously, in what he can do", Pederson told PhiladelphiaEagles.com's Dave Spadaro.

The court filing also detailed Patten's alleged work with another person, identified only as Foreigner B. Patten helped the person draft op-ed articles and get them published in US media in February 2017.

Even more exciting, Clement is expected to take on a much larger role in the backfield this season teaming up with Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles since LeGarrette Blount is no longer in the picture.

That would seem to all but guarantee that Foles will get the start, unless his shaky preseason has suddenly put third-stringer Nate Sudfeld in the running. Wentz is still on the early side of a traditional timetable for a return from an ACL tear in his left knee, which typically takes nine to 12 months. It was the Super Bowl, and he won MVP leading the team to a championship. It isn't. Wentz not playing in Week 1 doesn't make how he looked the past few weeks mean any less. Wentz has been doing some work during camp but has still not yet been cleared for contact.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport broke the news that Foles would start Thursday against the Falcons, but the Eagles declined to confirm that report. Based on the fact that Carson Wentz hasn't been cleared for contact and based on Pederson's saying one guy was getting the first-team reps, we already knew Foles was the guy.

That's not a bad deal for Foles, but it's also pretty good for the Eagles.

Halle Berry just reacted to Prince Harry's bedroom poster of her
The photo revealed another famous face in Harry's dorm: his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, was seen in a photo on his desk. Yes, that's right folks, Harry chose to stick a glossy cut-out of the one and only Halle Berry , and we totally get it.

Wentz didn't play in the preseason and only recently returned to full practice. You must hear this!
