Microsoft ties fake websites to Russian hackers ahead of midterm elections

Microsoft identified five fake websites created by a group tied to the Russian government

The domain takedowns represent Microsoft's latest effort to thwart what it says are hacking attempts by a group known as "Fancy Bear", or APT28, that is linked to the Russian government. But he agreed that what Microsoft found did not appear related to the election.
