Since its inception, Sony has sold a cumulative 500 million PlayStation consoles worldwide, and to commemorate the event, the company is launching a new special edition console for gamers. On the front of the console you'll find a commemorative copper plate with the limited edition serial number etched into it. The 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 will be $64.99 USD/$74.99 CAD/€64, while the Gold Wireless Headset will be $99.99 USD/$119.99 CAD/€89. The PS4 Pro itself packs a 2TB hard drive. The asking price for this sexy beast is $499.99.
The PlayStation brand has been around for nearly 24 years at this point, and in that time, Sony has sold a lot of consoles - more than 500 million, in fact.
