Before joining AC Milan for €40m in a shock move past year, Bonucci spent seven seasons at Juventus, helping them win six successive Serie A titles.

Leonardo deserves praise in particular for this part of the deal, as reports suggest that Milan made it immediately clear that the only way Bonucci could return to Turin was if Caldara was included in the deal.

Bonucci initially signed for Juventus from Bari in 2010 and quickly built a partnership alongside Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli to become one of the most-feared and toughest defences in Italian, and European, football.

Trial set to begin for ex-Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort
Selection of a 12-member jury for "USA vs Manafort" begins at 10:00 am (1400 GMT) on Tuesday before US District Court Judge T.S. At one point, an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent described the July 2017 raid on Manafort's Virginia condominium.

Caldara looks to be an excellent signing for Milan, as one of Italy's most promising young defenders.

In a short statement on their website, Juventus confirmed that the defender arrived in Turin from Milan's tour of the States on Thursday morning, before heading to the medical centre.

Despite this taking back the ageing Bonucci, who started the season sluggishly for his new team after taking the captain's armband before regaining form, makes sense for a club competing for an eighth straight Serie A title.

The pair netted a combined 73 times across the past two Serie A seasons as Juve continued their dominance in Italy.

"It's hard to say for only 30 minutes, but I've seen some very good players, some very fast ones, very technically well prepared", Allegri said.

The negotiation included Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín, who will join the club for €18 million with an option to purchase the player in two years for an additional €36 million.

"I love Sarri's philosophy", Luiz said. However, with the two clubs unable to reach an agreement for the 24-year old, Chelsea have chose to switch their attention towards Rugani's Juventus teammate instead.
