Lewis Hamilton was living a dream on Sunday after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix from pole position to take a 24-point lead into Formula One's August break.

Vettel's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen was third. Bottas was given two penalty points on his superlicence and hit with a 10-second time penalty, although that didn't impact his fifth-place finish.

Despite running on ultrasoft tyres against the softs on the Mercedes, Vettel then had to spend nearly twenty laps behind Bottas while an untroubled Hamilton cruised to victory.

Lewis Hamilton's first 110 races for both McLaren and Mercedes are impressive in their different ways.

President Trump willing to shut down government over border security
Trump has requested $25 billion to build the border wall and $1.6 billion has already appropriated for the project. He said that numerous border crossers "are just using children for their own sinister purposes".

In a dramatic finish, Valtteri Bottas lost control of his vehicle and bumped Ricciardo's Red Bull off the track as he was about to be overtaken.

"And he would have said the same about Lewis if he'd be in same situation and had a similar race".

But thanks to his exquisite driving, and mistakes by Vettel and his team, the situation has turned back in favor of Mercedes. It looked like Mercedes was likely to secure a 1-2 finish, but Vettel passed Bottas in the latter part of the race.

Although Ferrari boasted the faster vehicle for both events, a crash for Vettel in Germany enabled Hamilton to snatch victory before a thunderstorm for qualifying at Budapest wiped out Ferrari's speed advantage.

After the race in Hungary, Hamilton said Mercedes held the lead of the title race because, even if Ferrari had the quicker auto, the Silver Arrows had "operated better and been better on strategy". "I'm really happy, going into the break, particularly with back-to-back wins".

There is still plenty of work to do if he is to break that streak, even if Hamilton is well ahead of where he was this time past year when he went into the August shutdown 14 points adrift of Vettel. Kimi Raikkonen took the last spot on the podium, 2.978s off his teammate, turning out to be one of the most consistent drivers on the grid this season. "You see the teamwork me and Valtteri had, it worked pretty well", he said, pointing to the start and opening lap when they fended off a concerted Ferrari attack.

Judging from the stats alone, Hamilton's time at Mercedes has been more successful - no surprise there really. Vettel was now only a couple of second off Bottas and only passed the Finn when the latter made a decision to pit on Lap 15, a lap after Raikkonen.

From lap 29, Vettel had enough of an advantage to pit and get back out in second, but Ferrari waited.

Paul Manafort’s first trial begins this week: Here’s what to expect
Asonye also described Manafort's foreign cash flow as a "cash spigot" and said "he created cash out of thin air". The Trump administration has insisted that the charges against Manafort have nothing to do with the campaign.

"Second is not really what we wanted this weekend, but I think it was the maximum today". "In the end it was a good result for us", Ricciardo said. "We've got to come strong in the next half of the season".
