Beginning at lunch time on August 2, customers can pick up a MacCoin with each purchase of a Big Mac at 14,000 McDonald's locations.

The MacCoins will begin rolling out on Thursday which would have been the 100th birthday of Jim Delligatti, a former McDonald's owner-operator who created the Big Mac.

MacCoins will be available in five collectable designs representing five decades of the Big Mac, MCDonald's noted in a tweet.
