Scientists in Antarctica should also have a great view.

This eclipse will be the longest one of the 21st century, The full eclipse, which has been dubbed the Blood Moon in the press, will last one hour and 43 minutes, and with the partial eclipse and penumbra phases, it will be almost four hours.

This new paper is best understood as a call to look for those chemicals more closely on the moon, especially in volcanic deposits dating back to those periods. The entrance is free and visitors will get custom bracelets.

The hype around the Eclipse of July 27 appeared because it will last a long time.

The long duration of this eclipse is partly due to the fact that the moon will make a near-central passage through Earth's umbra the darkest, most central part of the shadow.

Mid-eclipse is at 21.21 BST and the "total" phase of the eclipse ends at 22.13.

Trump's proposed summit with Putin delayed
The White House has announced that a controversial invitation for Putin to visit Washington later this year has been withdrawn. Mr Trump has previously suggested that USA opposition to Russia's annexation of Crimea could be reconsidered.

In Britain the partial Eclipse will begin at 20:30, the total Eclipse will occur between 21:20 and 22:13.

The moment of greatest eclipse, or maximum eclipse, will occur over the United Kingdom after 9.20pm BST and that will be the moment the moon reaches the dead-centre of the Earth's umbra. During a total eclipse, the Moon takes about an hour to slip into the shadow.

This is rare due to how long it will last, at nearly two hours. It becomes a blood Moon when sunlight is fitered through Earth's atmosphere and bounces off the Moon's cratered surface. Some light, though, still reaches it because it is bent by the Earth's atmosphere.

Stargazers may be looking up at the skies in awe, but years ago the moon's ochre orange colour was considered to be a bad omen that instilled fear and panic until the scientific explanation of how lunar eclipses occurred was finally understood.

But from 10.15pm until 11.20pm, the sun will have descended a bit and the moon will have risen further creating a better image for viewers of the eclipse.

"All eclipses are spectacular", the society's Robert Massey added.

The White House Correspondents Association said "this type of retaliation is wholly inappropriate, wrong-headed, and weak. Fox News' chief political anchor Bret Baier defended Collins on-air and in a series of tweets Wednesday.

Awareness sessions will be organised in schools, colleges and wherever possible in the state. The total eclipse will commence at 1:00 am on July 28 and terminates by 2:43 am on July 28.

The total lunar eclipse will be fully visible in Delhi.

Just after 8am on Saturday, some Kiwis will have what could be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness a rare celestial event: The Sun and an eclipsed Moon in the sky at the same time.

Hundreds of people in Australia have already paid to watch the eclipse from the Sydney Observatory before sunrise.

Although the lunar eclipse is expected to last 103 minutes, observers in the United Kingdom and Ireland will not be able to catch the start as the moon will still be below the horizon.

Life could have existed on the Moon billions of years ago, according to a new scientific study, which concludes that the necessary environmental conditions could have existed there, at not one but two points in history. The moon might also have formed a magnetic field similar to Earth's that would have deflected the worst stellar radiation, they said.
