Singer Demi Lovato has been rushed to the hospital for a heroin overdose. She was reportedly treated with Narcan before being transported, according to TMZ. Fellow musicians and celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Brad Paisley and Ellen DeGeneres began taking to Twitter, showing an outpouring of support for Lovato.

In Lovato's 2017 YouTube documentary "Simply Complicated," the singer revealed her struggles with an eating disorder and a drug addiction that began at age 17. She celebrated six years of sobriety in March. "She has not been sober for quite some time but more tragically, has had no interest in being sober", People quotes an inside source as saying.

After relapsing, she continued to be honest with her fan base and so, in June, she released Sober, in an attempt to educate people on how it is a constant battle.

Her appearance on the show was taped back in December.
