Just yesterday, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman confirmed a report from months ago that stated that lead actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays former cop and group leader Rick Grimes, will be exiting the show during its upcoming ninth season. I love the people who make this show. "I've done enough crying onscreen..."

Nadia Hilker has been revealed as Magna, one of the many new faces joining The Walking Dead in season 9. The first eight episodes of the Walking Dead spinoff's fourth season ran through June, and the action picks up again on August 12th as AMC begins airing the back half of the season. Sounding emotional, the 44-year-old actor told the Comic-Con audience: "There seems to be an elephant in the room and I think many of you want to ask a question whether or not it is my last year". There were fans shedding real tears as they left the panel, though that was mostly because when it came to a close, Norman Reedus had everyone give a round of applause (and a standing ovation) to Lincoln for dedicating 10 years of his life to this wonderful series. "He cares about the fans; he cares about the show deeply; he wants to do something special on the way out; we got something wonderful planned; I wouldn't want to spoil anything, but anybody who's been a fan of his journey, who loves Rick Grimes, who loves the world of The Walking Dead: You're going to want to see what we do", Robert told Kevin Smith during an interview for IMDb.

"We're deeply deeply proud of the work we've done this season", he said.
