Controversial rapper XXXTentacion has been confirmed dead at age 20, after being shot in Miami on Monday.

They also claim the suspects took a Louis Vuitton bag from the rapper's vehicle.

They have since said they believe the incident was a possible robbery and are appealing for information. The rapper was shot and killed Monday. Witnesses told TMZ.com that the genre-blending rapper was leaving the dealership parking lot in a black BMW when shots were fired from another vehicle.

XXXTentacion, whose given name was Jaseh Dwayne Onfroy, was rushed to a hospital after he was shot just before 4 p.m., where he was pronounced dead, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
