The Nigeria police have vowed to challenge Senate's declaration of their boss, Ibrahim Idris, as unfit to hold public office in the country and overseas in court.
Holding that the Police IG is afraid of his shadows, the Senate insisted that any public officer who sees himself above the government is truly unfit to remain in office.
Clarifying that section which revealed limits of the senate in inviting individuals, Falana said that even President Muhammadu Buhari and governors can not be summoned by the senate.
The senate had refused the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in-charge of operations and other senior police officers to represent the I-G when he was invited on April 26.

Mr Moshood asked the public to disregard the resolution of the Senate on Mr Idris which he said was "mischievously aimed at casting aspersions on the hard-earned integrity of the IG and the Nigeria Police Force".
According to the statement, the arrest and detention of the embattled Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dino Melaye, has been overtaken by events.
