Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) pretend to fight each other but are actually in "tacit alliance".

Addressing hundreds of people in the drought-prone district, Modi asked the Congress government to give an account of their work done in the state. They pretend to fight as opponents in Karnataka, but, in Bengaluru, the JD (S) supported a Congress mayor, who is sitting in the office.

Apart from education and liquor mafia, the mafia of cable, transfer and sand were getting stronger. "Congress does not care about "Dil" (people's hearts and feelings) or Dalits".

He said he also has a tattoo of Karnataka BJP legislator K Shivanagouda Naik, though he did not show it. "I am committed to your welfare and security", the PM said.

Prime Minister Modi added that he has initiated a full-fledged battle against corruption and black money and will not tolerate any corrupt practices.

"I urge people of Karnataka to remain vigilant and beware of the divisive politics of the Congress. Later realised it's to stash the black money these ministers have looted over the years", he said. He added that it is BJP that has made a dalit the country's President and a person from backward class as the Prime Minister.

He said that the Congress for the sake of votes would celebrate the Jayanti of Sultans but not of those who celebrate have sacrificed their lives for the country.

While outlining the achievements of his government, Prime Minister Modi said, "We are connecting distant places with airways, we are expanding the aviation sector".

He took a drag at Congress before ending his speech by saying, "The work for laying optical fibre began in 2011 under the government of UPA led by Sonia Gandhi, in three years till 2014 they could lay the network in just 59 village".

Accusing the Congress for stalling Parliament proceedings, PM Modi said, "Congress owes an explanation to the nation on why it is not letting Parliament function". Nijalingappa stood for the poor and Dalits, Modi also said.

Chiding Congress feeling "uneasiness" about patriotism, Modi asked them to "learn it at least from the Mudhol hound dogs" of north Karnataka, which have been inducted into the Indian army K9 unit. "They have played with sentiments and feelings of people of Chitradurga", Modi said.
