GETTY Tony Bellew and David Haye go head-to-head for the second time on Saturday evening

David Haye has praised Tony Bellew after losing by technical knock-out in the fifth round to the Liverpudlian on Saturday night. In the fifth, in a nearly a carbon copy, Haye went down once again, but the referee stopped the fight after Bellew landed a flurry of punches.

In yet another exciting; domestic fight at a sold out O2 Arena, Tony "The Bomber" Bellew secured another stoppage victory against David Haye, doing so this time in a more emphatic and clinical fashion!

In the fifth round, Bellew's superior sharpness and timing sealed the deal as he heavily floored "The Hayemaker" with an incredible left hook.

"David Haye goes down a better fighter than me", Bellew said, who admitted he was broken after the death of his brother-in-law last August.

Many are now calling for Haye to retire from boxing and Froch, who fought the Londoner as an amateur, is leading the calls for Haye to hang up his gloves.

"Tony boxed a great fight".

When he returned to his feet Haye remained unsteady and struggled to defend himself, again going down following another right hand.

"David Haye is an wonderful fighter, we just got into a slugfest". I told him "Stop the fight".

But as it turned out Bellew had Haye's number once again, and after the opening two rounds, where Haye just about out fought his opponent, Bellew stepped up a notch and dominated the 37 year old.

Ward, 34, retired with a ideal 32-fight record in September and was regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world having won world titles at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight.

"Jay from The Inbetweeners came out and it did take me out of my comfort zone", Bellew added. I couldn't quite make it happen, and you know, everything happens for a reason, and he was victorious tonight. He also called out former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who returns to the ring on June 9, after a 30-month absence from the sport.

"I would beat Andre Ward. I don't cry in front of my missus, I try and hide it but you know what I'm broke".

The bell saved Haye from further punishment that round and he tried to regroup in the fourth. Safe to say, Bellew got his wish with a dominant performance over Haye in their long-awaited rematch.
