Cassidy expects Bergeron to play tonight

Patrice Bergeron out Game 4 vs. Leafs with upper-body injury

NHL: Bruins take 3-1 series lead against Maple Leafs

Patrice Bergeron (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Game 5 against Toronto on Saturday night.

He skated with the team Saturday morning, and Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy indicated he liked what he saw, saying, "I anticipate he'll play". "I anticipate he'll play, but we'll make that decision after warmup".

Bergeron was a surprising late scratch prior to Game 4 due to an upper-body injury, but the Bruins were able to pull off a 3-1 victory without their four-time Selke Trophy victor in the lineup.

Brad Stevens on Celtics' loss to Bucks: 'Offensively we were horrendous'
Eric Bledsoe and Jabari Parker scored 17 apiece and Thon Maker had 14 for Milwaukee, which trails the best-of-seven series 2-1. When the third quarter rolled around, the Celtics had already committed 13 turnovers, compared to the Bucks' six.

Bergeron skated Saturday at Warrior Ice Arena and is "optimistic" he can play, but acknowledges he must convince the medical staff he is ready.

"He looked good this morning".

"I feel good", Bergeron said after practice. He did, however, note that it's now about convincing the other side (coaches and doctors, you'd imagine) he's good to go before he can jump back into the mix.

FAA orders jet engine inspections after fatal Southwest accident
Jennifer Riordan, 43 and a mother of two, was sucked out of the broken window and pulled back inside by fellow passengers. Southwest announced just hours after the incident that it would conduct additional inspections of its CFM56-7B engines.

Bergeron missed the Bruins' 3-1 Game 4 victory on Thursday with an undisclosed injury.

And while Bergeron credited the job centre Riley Nash did in his stead - Nash also stepped in when Bergeron was sidelined with the foot injury - spending a game as a spectator took its toll. Bergeron is impressed with how his team played during his absence. "It's something we've been through many times this year, so I was definitely confident".

Getting Bergeron back in the lineup and atop one of the top lines in the league might just put Boston over the top against a desperate Maple Leafs club fighting for its season. It's always like that, after every game, you refocus and readjust and they do the same thing. He had five assists in the first three games of this series.
