Indian rocket successfully puts into orbit navigation satellite

The Chandrayaan 1 spacecraft India's first unmanned mission to the Moon is seen as it is unveiled at the Indian Space Research Organization Satellite Center in Bangalore India

Set to Launch High Power S-band Communication Satellite for Armed Forces

IRNSS-1I, the eighth satellite to join the constellation of navigation satellites, will be launched at 4.04am on Thursday from Sriharikota by PSLV-C41 and the countdown will start from Tuesday night.

Alpha Design Technologies, which is headquartered in Bengaluru, played an important role in the integration of IRNSS-1I satellite. This success will bring benefits of our space programme to the common man. "Proud of team @isro!".

The PSLV-C41/IRNSS-1I Mission blasted off at 4.04 am. Sivan also said that industry participation when it came to satellite manufacturing was enhanced, with ISRO "slowly moving towards both the vehicle and the satellite going through the [private] industry".

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to gear up for a launch to boost its Navic fleet.

Should You Hold The Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR)
Following the transaction, the chief operating officer now owns 290,353 shares of the company's stock, valued at $8,031,163.98. Now the hedge fund run by Shane Finemore is holding 3.00M shares, compared to the 2.00 million from the previous quarter.

The ranging payload of IRNSS-1I consists of a C-band transponder, which facilitates accurate determination of range of satellite.

S 1I is a replacement of IRNSS 1H, which was launched past year, on August 31but failed to reach the destination orbit. It is the latest addition to the 'Navigation with Indian Constellation (NAVIC)', a group of satellites orbiting above India that will serve as a domestic version of the American government-owned Global Positioning System.

This launch was Isro's second attempt at sending a replacement satellite. Talking about April 12 launch, it was developed as a backup if ever required and thus, it will launch on the PSLV-C41 rocket so that it can complete the constellation. Keeping up with the general trend, this was the 41st successful mission of the 43 for PSLV.

While IRNSS-1I will replace IRNSS-1A, ISRO has no intention of de-orbiting the latter.
