Chandrababu Naidu in Delhi, to meet all parties floor leaders on no trust

Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu will meet key opposition leaders in New Delhi on Tuesday to enlist their support for his party's no confidence motion against the central government.

The TDP chief also spoke in an interview with NDTV on the issue of special status and said, "Injsutice has been done to Andhra Pradesh, the bifurcation of the state is not scientific, even now, the bifurcation act implementation has not taken place, and also to pass the bill they (Centre) has given some assurance on the floor of the house ..."

On his first visit to the capital after parting ways with the BJP, Naidu on Tuesday met leaders of various political parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress and NCP and vowed to defeat the saffron party in the next Lok Sabha polls. "If he allies with the Congress then Naidu will lose whatever credibility he has left", Rao said.

He said he waited until the last Budget before withdrawing from the NDA and breaking off ties with the BJP, which was part of the ruling coalition in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the TDP MPs continued to protest outside the Parliament building, demanding Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP chief, who is on a two-day visit to Delhi, will also like to garner as much opposition support as possible for the no-confidence motion that is pending before Lok Sabha. After the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) left the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government over the issue of grant of special category status to Andhra Pradesh, nearly all the opposition parties have chose to join hands to fight the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections together.

He said the people of Andhra Pradesh believed that the Naidu-Modi combo will solve the problems of the State.

Most Opposition parties, including the Congress, have announced support for the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP. "People are feeling that this is our right and you have done injustice to us, without our mistake", Naidu said. We never attack any region or people. According to party leaders, Naidu had secretly met some Supreme Court judges in Delhi, with whom cases pertaining to Naidu were pending.

Naidu also answered questions pertaining to the allocation of funds and the Terms of Reference of the 15th Finance Commission.

While accusing the BJP leadership of "shielding" the opposition YSR Congress Party, Naidu alleged that the regional party is tainted because of various allegations against it. "Only what you promised", Naidu added.
