Russian exile Nikolay Glushkov, 68, was found dead at his home in Clarence Avenue, New Malden, south-west London, on Monday.

A subsequent pathologist report found that Glushkov died by a "compression to the neck", London's Metropolitan Police said on Friday.

At this time, there is no link between Glushkov's death and the attempted murders of Skripal and his daughter, police said.

Mr Glushkov is the former deputy director of Russian state airline Aeroflot.
