A Communist Party of India (Marxist) delegation on Sunday met the director general of police in Tripura to complain of violence against party workers after the results of the Assembly elections were announced on Saturday, The Hindu reported.

Rahul Gandhi's tweet which hints at introspection comes after Congress' dismal performance in the polls.

"So let us not lose perspective: there is no Modi wave here", he tweeted.

NAGALAND: Rio meets Governor, stake claim for Govt formation
The ruling Naga People's Front (NPF) also secured 27 seats, running neck and neck with the BJP-NDPP combine. The Congress failed to win a single seat in the State.

Rio, a three-time chief minister and a senior leader of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), staked claim earlier in the day to form a coalition government in Nagaland, saying he has the support of 32 MLAs.

In case of Tripura, the rise of BJP is simply remarkable. Mizoram is the only state in the northeast with a non-NDA government.

Modi's BJP is now governing 19 of India's 29 states, compared with five by the Congress party.

Would it reject the demand for a tribal CM? he asked. The people of the state had seen his governance from 2008 to 2013, during which many BJP ministers were also sent to jail on corruption charges, the party leader said. The NPF won 26 seats and the NDPP won 18 seats.

Even in Bihar, where former PCC chief Ashok Choudhary recently quit the Congress along with three other MLCs to join the JD (U), Joshi was blamed for the development. The BJP and NDPP together have 30 lawmakers. The chief ministerial candidate Conrad Sangma and his party NPP have promised division of Meghalaya and a separate state of Garoland, he said, asking if other parties agreed to this. He added that BJP is obsessed with power and used tactics, used to form governments in Goa and Manipur, to disregard mandate of people of Meghalaya. And what is Modiji s/BJP take on it?
