The evening begins with the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, followed by the JBL Three-Point Contest and culminating with the Verizon Slam Dunk.
It'll be a busy weekend for the rookie guard as he will participate in the NBA's Rookie-Sophomore game on Friday, February 16 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. There's a lot of great young talent in that group. He was the 2015 runner-up to Zach LaVine.
Check out NBA's announcement (below) and let us know who you got in this year's dunk contest & 3-point shoot out? He was runner-up to LaVine in 2016 and put on a show, garnering three ideal scores during the competition. Chelsea trail league leaders Manchester City by 21 points and have provided a meek defence of their Premier League crown this term.
The high-flying act of Victor Oladipo will be a busy man during All-Star weekend later this month.
Oladipo is now averaging 23.9 points, 4.1 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game this season, all career-best marks.
As a rookie and a point guard, is a very interesting, but very worthy participant in this year's field.
Russian plane shot down in Syria
A Syrian militant in the area told The Associated Press that the Russian pilot was shot and killed when he resisted capture. Syrian troops launched a fierce offensive on Idlib in late December, with backing by Russian warplanes.
But the Lakers forward is an accomplished dunker in his own right, and in his third season has already earned a reputation for putting opponents on posters. Hopefully these guys won't even need props or assistance to throw down their jams (though we certainly wouldn't complain about more insane dunks over mascots like Aaron Gordon's).
This will be Oladipo's second time participating in the dunk competition.
