SpaceX tests the Falcon Heavy's 27 engines ahead of first launch

SpaceX Cronyism Is Symptomatic of Defense Contracting at Its Worst

And it might soon be ready to fly. Today, the rocket fired its engines in a test at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, clearing the way for an inaugural launch in the coming weeks.

Gebhardt said he will live stream the static fire test. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter this afternoon that Falcon Heavy the static fire "was good" and that it generated "quite a thunderhead of steam" in the process. While BFR will be something like a factor of three (or more) larger and more powerful than Falcon Heavy, SpaceX's Falcon Heavy testing already easily makes them the first private company to genuinely fund, develop, and operate a super-heavy launch vehicle.

When launch time does arrive, it will be a nail-biting moment.

WWE's Owner Just Relaunched His Alternative Football League, The XFL
While Vince McMahon does have a connection and past business partnership to President Trump, the XFL will stay politic-neutral. Although Manziel is only 25 years old, it appears his days of playing in any professional football league are over.

There will be at least one significant payload aboard, however: Musk's cherry-red Tesla Roadster sports auto, which is meant to be sent into a widely looping orbit stretching out as far as Mars. Musk has previously shown images of Tesla being prepared for the launch with Falcon Heavy. The vehicle would travel around the sun in endless ellipses that extended as far out as Mars' orbit. If successful, it would continue the company's very impressive run of achieving launch milestones that have been viewed as very hard.

Moreover, the new rocket's booster stages can be reused, which SpaceX claims will save money. (I call Shotgun!) It's kind of silly to use a rocket to send a auto around the Sun, but it will generate publicity.

SpaceX founder and chief executive Elon Musk tweeted: "Falcon Heavy hold-down firing this morning was good". That's a joint venture between legacy aerospace firms Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

Kerber downs Keys in quarters
Kerber simply dominated a red hot Keys by winning 52 percent of her return points and dropping just four first serve points. Angelique Kerber didn't have the kind of season expected of her past year after winning the Australian Open and U.S.

However, the Falcon Heavy Rocket's story doesn't end there as the most important aspect of the mission is what it leaves behind: the booster rockets.

He tweeted: "Falcon Heavy launching from same @NASA pad as the Saturn V Apollo 11 moon rocket". The test fire was potentially delayed even more thanks to the government shut down over the weekend. But with this successful test, long-suffering space fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief, and their collective sigh will last about as long as the static fire: only a few seconds.

The rocket is, in fact, years overdue. Launch Complex 39A is historic in its own right, having hosted some of the world's most powerful rockets.

Game Developers Conference Survey Contains Positive Findings For Nintendo Switch
It's a pretty interesting snapshot too, especially when the most current statistics are compared to the previous year's. In 2017, 24 of respondents said they were working on a VR game, while only 19 percent are working on one in 2018.
