Catching flight, the white sedan went airborne, crashed into a raised centre median and caught fire after plowing into the building, a report by NBC LA said.

Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) witnessed a rare sight when, on Sunday morning, they were informed that a vehicle had rammed into a divider and flew up to two floors of a building in Santa Ana.

The series scooped up top Emmy Awards in September and just last week added Golden Globe wins for drama series and for Moss. The cast and crew were obviously elusive during their slot on the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday.

The crash, which happened at about 5.25am Pacific time, rattled guests in a motel next door, but the dental practice was closed at the time.

Orange County firefighters, along with a Los Angeles County search and rescue team, removed the vehicle from the building. The fire was quickly extinguished, both victims are out of the vehicle safely with minor injuries.

But health officials say it's too early to say if the flu shot is less effective this year or if the flu season peaked earlier. Anton encouraged people to get flu shots if they haven't already and, if infected, to stay home and be aware.

The trapped individuals had to be rescued by Santa Ana fire crews. The spokesman said authorities had filed a charge of driving under the influence but the driver had not yet been arraigned because he was in the hospital.

Firefighters removed the driver and passenger from the vehicle while it was still hanging from the building.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), two people survived the auto crash while one of them was trapped inside until the 6.45 am PT as the incident happened around 5.30 am PT.
