An Alabama woman who accused failed U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore of initiating a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 years old is suing Moore and his campaign for defamation.
Corfman asks that Moore and his campaign be found guilty of defamation and that he be forced to retract his defamatory statements and pay for the cost of the lawsuit.
WAAY 31 has attempted to reach out to the Moore campaign, but the most recent contact number assigned to it is no longer in service. She says Moore has made "false denials with reckless disregard of the truth" during an interview on nationally-syndicated radio program The Sean Hannity Show.

He denied ever having known her and said he took a polygraph test to back up that statement. Just last week, after the election, they filed a lawsuit in which they once again called me a liar. She also cites campaign speeches made in Vestavia Hills and Huntsville. He denied the misconduct allegations, saying they were a result of "dirty politics".
Corfman said in early 1979, Moore - then an assistant district attorney in Etowah County - took her to his home, undressed her and passed her hand over the front of his underwear.
"Mr. Moore's continued attacks against Ms. Corfman after the election and the content of his affidavit demonstrate that if not enjoined, he will continue to defame Ms. Corfman, if simply for the objective of furthering his political goals", Corfman's attorney wrote in the lawsuit.
