Instagram is making a huge change to the way users experience the service by introducing "Recommended" posts into their personal feeds. The feature, described here in the company's Help documentation, will suggest posts for you based on those that have been liked by other accounts you follow.
The new section labelled "Recommended for You", will contain three to five suggested posts and will be displayed while you browse through your Instagram feed.
Previously users had to leave the home feed and access the "Explore" tab if they wanted to see recommended posts.

Just for information, the "Hide" button can be availed of by taping on the three dots placed at the top of the post.
