Did Julian Assange Delete His Twitter Page? Account Now Back Online

Even weirder, the amount of followers of the account abruptly and significantly dropped upon reappearing, according to TechCrunch.

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange's Twitter account mysteriously and inexplicably disappeared from the platform Sunday night on Christmas Eve.

The first post following the hiatus was an animated depiction of Santa Claus presumably writing down WikiLeaks under the "Good" section of his "naughty list".

However, Assange's previous Tweets - and habit of posting personal information about individuals - might've caused him to run afoul of Twitter's regulations.

Hatch aide knocks paper's 'unquenchable thirst for clicks' after blistering editorial
Hatch said at the time. "If only he had listened to his own advice", the Tribune then added. Still, Hatch's twitter account thanked the paper for the label.

WikiLeaks also responded to the U.S. Navy tweet.

A Twitter spokesperson did not answer questions asking if the account was suspended but pointed to the company's language on how users can deactivate and reactivate their own accounts.

The new account reportedly said that Twitter has deleted Assange's official handle, and just before a major news story was to be broken out.

Those with secrets want him alive, if he dies the real dirt is released.

USA sanctions North Korean officials involved in ballistic missile program
North Korea launched a new ICBM on November 29, claiming it can carry a nuclear warhead to anywhere on the USA mainland. The North Korean official's appearances were all linked to North Korean missile or rocket tests, the data shows.

Another added: "In less than 24 hours the internet is about go absolutely insane if Julian Assange doesn't show proof of life".

The official WikiLeaks Twitter account was still operating but made no mention what happened to Assange's.

Despite Assange's prolific tweeting, and copycats using his picture, Twitter refused to grant the Australian the blue check-mark it uses on "verified" accounts.
