Anthony exchanged pleasantries with familiar faces at the morning shootaround, but he chose not to speak to reporters about his Garden return until after the game.

NY enters the clash with Oklahoma City at 15-13 overall, 13-5 at home, and 2-8 on the road.

"I don't think he deserves to be booed, but you never know", Knicks forward Lance Thomas said.

It's been a rough start for Anthony and the Thunder.

"They obviously have three of the best players in the league". Thus far, the Thunder have underachieved with a 14-14 record heading into Saturday's game.

During their last five games, the Knicks have scored an average of 107.2 points per game (2.6 above their season average) and allowed an average of 102.4 points per game (1.6 below their season average). Carmelo Anthony added 24 points and seven rebounds over 47 minutes. Courtney Lee led the way with a season best 27 points on 9-17 shooting, four rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes. Meanwhile the Thunder, with Carmelo, Westbrook and George, are struggling to stay afloat. But it hasn't worked out that way yet. The players they have on the team are fitting in very well. "They just need some time to try to get used to each other and stuff, but once they get the chemistry together, I think they're gonna beat Houston, Golden State, whoever, in the West". It's challenging. It's new.

It's been reunion week for the Thunder. Up next, the 10-time NBA All-Star will return to the building where he spent seven seasons of his illustrious career before he was traded to the Thunder this offseason. But former Knicks president Phil Jackson essentially pushed Anthony out. "I embraced everything about that city". But that changed a year ago after Jackson took shots at Anthony in the media and on Twitter.

Anthony, who had a full no-trade clause, was adamant that he meant to remain in NY, but controversy with then-team president Phil Jackson led to his decision to waive the clause and head to Oklahoma City.

"It's going to be great for him to be back here, " Hardaway said.
