With Jeff Grimes Leaving LSU for BYU, Tigers to Hire Chargers' James Cregg as Offensive Line Coach

LSU offensive line coach - and BYU offensive coordinator - Jeff Grimes was present at practice on Thursday afternoon, just hours after the Cougars officially announced Grimes as a new hire.

Grimes replaces Ty Detmer who was let go after two seasons as BYU's OC. He coached the Cougars offensive line from 2004-2006, and has also coached at Arizona State and Colorado.

"Detmer and all coaches remain under contract on the staff", said a news release at the time.

UK Retailers Get Black Friday Boost as Sales Jump 1.1%
Excluding petrol, sales were up 1.2% on the month, versus a 0.4% consensus and a revised 0.4% from the prior month. Food store sales increased at a faster pace of 0.6 percent and non-food store sales advanced 1.5 percent.

Grimes, 49, is in his fourth season as the Tigers' offensive line coach.

ESPN's Adam Rittenburg tweeted from his @ESPNRittenberg Twitter account Wednesday night that he was hearing that "Weber State offensive coordinator Fesi Sitake also could join the BYU staff to coach a position group".

Grimes jumped to the Division I level in 2000, where he served as offensive line coach under Dirk Koetter, now the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Google Assistant coming to older Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System and tablets
Though the JioPhone comes with its own voice assistant called Hello Jio, the Google Assistant announcement came as a surprise. Once users update to latest version of Google Play Services , they will see an Assistant app icon in their "All apps" list.

Grimes had his biggest success come under Mendenhall in 2005 and 2006, as the Cougars were No. 13 in the country in total offense (462.4 ypg) and No. 24 in scoring offense (33.0 points per game) in 2015. He coached at Auburn for four seasons, including for its 2010 national championship team, and has been the offensive line coach and run-game coordinator at LSU for four seasons.

Of course, nothing is official until Cregg is actually signed, and it remains to be seen how long it will take the Tigers to get a deal done, especially since the Chargers are still in the middle of their season.

"Grimes coached at Virginia Tech in 2013 in the same capacity, helping the Hokies to an 8-5 season under the legendary Frank Beamer".

Brokers including E*Trade Financial Corp., TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. and Ally Financial Inc. will probably follow suit. But while volatile compared with traditional currencies or assets, the rise on Monday was relatively tame for bitcoin.

Grimes is from Garland, Texas, and was a four-year letterwinner at UTEP as an offensive tackle. He has worked at LSU for the past four seasons. After two years there, he moved on to the college ranks, first working as a graduate assistant at Rice (1995) and then at Texas A&M (1996-97) before moving on to Hardin-Simmons (1998-99) as the offensive line coach.
