Aly Raisman has taken to social media following Larry Nassar's guilty plea and sentencing on seven accounts of sexual assault. All but one of his accusers was a gymnast. "I wholeheartedly support my teammates for coming forward with what happened to them".
With Nassar now being held accountable for his crimes, three of his victims and their lawyers demanded additional accountability from officials who were aware of prior accusations.
Nassar had originally been charged with 22 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and 11 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct at the state level but the Michigan Attorney General's office agreed not to file additional charges after Wednesday's plea.
Nassar was the longtime team physician for USA Gymnastics with a busy sports-medicine practice at Michigan State University.
Despite stiff neck, Warner determined to play first Ashes Test
Warner has a stiff neck after injuring it at training, while Marsh has been dealing with a back issue. Subsequently, Glenn Maxwell has been called up to the squad as cover.
Prosecutors said they will not oppose concurrent sentencing and they will not prosecute Nassar for any of the other women who have filed complaints against him with police in MI. "I want this community to heal", Nassar said. "He's admitting what he did was wrong and evil", she said.
Manly accused Michigan State University of "stonewalling" his efforts to find out how university officials dealt with past allegations against Nassar, which had prompted a 2014 internal investigation.
Olympic gold medalists Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney accused Nassar of sexually abused them when they were teenagers.
A handcuffed and seemingly gaunt Nassar appeared in court in an orange prison jumpsuit.
US Agency to Vote on Overturning Obama-Era 'Net Neutrality' Rules
Big telecom companies say they don't want the stricter regulation that comes with the net neutrality rules. Net neutrality is the principle that all online traffic should be treated equally.
Separately, Nassar is also awaiting sentencing on federal charges of receiving child pornography, possessing child pornography and a charge that he hid and destroyed evidence in the case.
"We have yet to hear the truth" from those institutions, said a victim, Rachael Denhollander. The Olympic gymnasts are not part of the MI cases.
USA Gymnastics adopted a new "safe sport policy" in response to the Nassar scandal that requires "mandatory reporting" of suspicions of sexual abuse.
The Associated Press left messages seeking comment from MSU, USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
