TripAdvisor Accused Of Deleting Resort Rape Report

TripAdvisor now has a digital badge to mark hotels where sexual assault was reported

Rather than provide a forum for reviews on room service, cleanliness, and other common travel hang-ups, an internal company committee will now be responsible for fielding sexual assault claims and then making judgement calls on whether to attach a badge to the hotel or resort.

"TripAdvisor has been made aware of recent media reports or events concerning this property which may not be reflected in reviews found on this listing".

'Accordingly, you may wish to perform additional research for information about this property when making your travel plans'. However, if they do not meet safety requirements set by TripAdvisor, they will be labeled with a badge that says that users reported cases of discrimination, health, or safety concerns. These badges are only temporary and last for a three-month period.

It is unclear how Flynn, as national security adviser, could have successfully carried out either alleged request. The group also discussed how to set free a Turkish-Iranian gold trader, Reza Zarrab.

"We have made a decision to introduce a new badge notification that will be displayed on a business's listing page when an issue relating to that business is reported on by credible media sources", Tara Lieberman, a TripAdvisor spokeswoman, tells Vogue.

TripAdvisor had said it had apologised to the woman and has now published her review.

Hulu coming to Nintendo Switch
The 6.2-inch display is 720p, but you would see a huge reduction in detail if you dropped that to something closer to 540p. However, Nintendo made it clear that its intention with the Switch was to have games be at the forefront of the console.

The company has since vowed to clarify why certain reviews are rejected.

On the top of the page for Iberostar Paraiso Maya, a resort in the Playa del Carmen region of Mexico, for example, there is a message from TripAdvisor written in classic cautionary red. The website had allegedly deleted earlier previous warnings about the resort, on the basis that the reviews were not "family friendly". The publication's report, however, focused on Iberostar Paraiso: at least three women said they were raped in the resort's premises. That language may change in the future, but for now the badge is meant to be a warning sign to customers to encourage them to do additional research, Hoyt said. Destinations will be marked for up to 3 months before needing a new review unless TripAdvisor extends it.

"Often it's a sentence that can be edited out and that review can be posted", Hoyt said. Most of the people Journal Sentinel interviewed were told that their reviews were removed, because they were merely "hearsay" despite posting about what happened to them personally.
