None of the eight passengers aboard the driverless vehicle suffered injuries and neither did the truck driver.

The driverless electric shuttle in downtown Las Vegas, pictured on November 9, 2017, is back on the road one day after it was involved in an accident with a truck.

"The shuttle did what it was supposed to do, in that it's sensors registered the truck and the shuttle stopped to avoid the accident", the City of Las Vegas said in a statement to KSNY.

NewsAlert: Kevin Spacey to be cut from upcoming film, sources say
One of the people close to the production said that Scott's plan caught Sony by surprise, but the studio is supporting the switch. The mounting allegations of sexual assault involving Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey are taking a mounting toll on his career.

Las Vegas this week became the first city in the USA to integrate a self-driving shuttle bus into its regular flow of traffic.

But, just an hour into its year-long trial (which follows a successful stint in January) the shuttle was hit by a delivery truck that was backing up.

While the shuttle remained out of service for the rest of the day, the tests are set to continue for the duration of the 12-month pilot in the downtown Innovation District, officials say.

BREAKING Tunisia qualify for 2018 World Cup
Before today's matches, Morocco had 9 points while the Ivorians had 8 points; meaning the victor of the match would qualify. Morocco have now qualified for their fifth World Cup (1970, 1986, 1994, 1998) and their first since France 1998.

This is not the first time that self-driving technology has been involved in a crash.

The crash, apparently, was not the shuttle's fault.

Early Wednesday morning the City of Las Vegas Twitter account wrote: 'Look Ma, no driver!' We're launching the nation's first self-driving shuttle geared for the public in #DTLV at 10am!' AAA partnered with the city of Las Vegas, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and Keolis North America (Keolis), which will operate and maintain the NAVYA Arma fully electric shuttle. The shuttle is operated and maintained by Keolis, which also led the efforts to integrate its vehicle into the smart-city infrastructure, in partnership with the city of Las Vegas and NAVYA. "Human error causes most traffic collisions and this was no different", he said "Driver of truck was cited". If a vehicle leaves its own lane and careens towards an autonomous shuttle such as this, will it simply stop and wait for the inevitable crash, or take evasive maneuvers as a human would?

Disney to charge less than Netflix for its streaming service
Shanghai Disney , which opened in June of 2016, also saw higher attendance and outperformed the company's earlier projections. Weighing again on performance was the sports TV unit ESPN, which blamed lower advertising revenue and higher program costs.
