The NFL announced Sunday that Timberlake, 36, is set to perform in Super Bowl LII's halftime show on February 4 in Minneapolis. That appearance, however, was quickly eclipsed by the notorious episode three years later, in which he tore off co-star Janet Jackson's top, briefly revealing a bejeweled nipple. The 36-year-old Grammy victor will return to the biggest stage in the country's most-watched TV show for the first time since his infamous "wardrobe malfunction" moment with Janet Jackson in 2004.
It is immediately unclear whether anyone will join Timberlake on the halftime stage. Timberlake performed at the 2001 Super Bowl with N'Sync, and he sang "Rock Your Body" with Jackson in 2004 in Houston.
Essential PH-1 got its first $200 price cut
If you thought the Essential Phone was too expensive at $699, you may be ready to jump on one at the new $499 price. However, the company will launch a similar promo in Canada as well, although details aren't yet available.
On Sunday, after the Timberlake Halftime show announcement, the hashtag #JusticeForJanet began trending, with fans calling for Jackson to be invited back to perform. The incident, later described as a "wardrobe malfunction", led to numerous complaints and a large fine by the Federal Communications Commission, The New York Times reported.
It would be entirely fitting if Jackson returned alongside Timberlake for Super Bowl LII. Not only would Jackson never perform at the Super Bowl again, but she was reportedly blacklisted at the time by Viacom media entities, with MTV, VH1 and numerous other radio stations pulling her music videos and songs.

When asked how he felt about returning to the stage after 2004, Justin told the Sunday Night Football crew, "Immediately, I was excited". If you consider it 50/50, I probably got 10 per cent of the blame.
