"The US president is reflecting stupidity", Khamenei said, adding that the reason he is annoyed with Iran is because USA policies in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon have failed. "I don't think there is a majority in the U.S. Senate that wants to abolish the deal".

Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's highest authority, welcomed their support but said it was not sufficient.

And Iran threatened the USA with "retaliation" if Trump took any action, even vowing to destroy Israel if the agreement was ripped up. "Europe needs to stand against practical measures (taken) by America".

Mr. Khamenei said: "they must avoid interfering in our defence programme".

However users didn't appreciate the suggestion and it didn't take long for before social media was full of criticism. The online backlash was mainly regarding the effects this feature could cast on users with eating disorders.

The senior commander went on to say that not only European countries and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) refused to comply with Trump's stance toward Iran, but even his own defense and state secretaries held him in contempt for such a stance. "The president of the United States has many powers (but) not this one", the European Union foreign policy chief stressed.

"To ask the same thing (as the Americans) about why Iran is present in the region - well, deal with it".
