Nissan Raced A GT-R Around A Track At 210KM/H, Using A PS4 Controller

Jann Mardenborough followed just such a path, and in a different coming together of video games and real life, has remotely driven an actual Nissan GT-R at speeds of up to 211 km/h (131 mph) using a PlayStation DualShock 4 controller. To celebrate the release of Gran Turismo Sport on October 18, the company turned its all-wheel-drive GT-R into a life-size RC vehicle that's controlled by a PlayStation DualShock 4.

It was the ideal opportunity for Jann to show off his skills after he made it to the top tier of racing after impressing in Nissan's GT Academy that takes amateur gamers and gives them a shot at real-life motorsport.

Mardenborough, 26, sat in the cockpit of a helicopter as he tailed the Nissan GT-R around the home of racing on the Bucks and Northamptonshire border.

Nissan's GT-R is often referred to as "the PlayStation sports auto", due to the fact that before the release of the very first Gran Turismo video game in 1998, much of the English-speaking world had never heard of Nissan's halo vehicle.

India look to lock the T-20 series in Guwahati
Virat kohli's men will take on Australia in the 2nd T20I at the ACA-Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati . India has defeated Australia in 3 consecutive series earlier.

On Mardenboroughs" fastest lap (1:17:47), the GT-R /C averaged 122 km/h and reached a top speed of 211km/h - the "driven' average for the 1.6mile/2.6km loop circuit is around 134km/h.

Silverstone is a big track, though, so in order to keep an eye on his full-scale R/C vehicle, Mardenborough hopped into a helicopter for a bird's-eye view.

Nissan has come up with something very appreciable innovation to celebrate releasing of the Gran Turismo Sport on 18th October.

British firm JLB Design fitted the Nissan with four robots to operate the steering, transmission, brakes and throttle.

Iceland's World Cup success their greatest achievement, says Eggert Magnusson
The hardest thing was to get going again after our massive party in France, but we decided that we were just going to finish this. If they win, they will become the nation with the smallest population ever to qualify for the finals.

Now racing full-time for Nissan in Japan, Mardenborough starred in the latest round of the Super GT Championship last weekend in Thailand, qualifying on the front row and setting the fastest lap of the race.

During the run, a micro-computer transmitted inputs from the controller to the GT-R's on-board systems.

James Brighton, JLB Design Ltd, added: "The GT-R /C presented some unique challenges and a number of engineering firsts for us". The wireless operation has a primary control range of one kilometre.

"This was once-in-a-lifetime, truly epic stuff".
