At least some avenues, however, are closing - Burr said the committee has "hit a wall" as it tries to find out more about the infamous, unverified dossier about President Trump that exploded onto the scene earlier this year.
Washington has accused Russian Federation of meddling in the November 8 election, with USA congressional investigators launching a probe into alleged interference.
While Trump's defenders have dismissed the Steele dossier as a politically-motivated smear, Burr indicated that his committee is still working to evaluate its claims and has not dismissed it outright. Richard Burr (R-N.C) told reporters Wednesday.
So far, investigators have conducted more than 250 hours of interviews, produced over 4,000 transcript pages and reviewed more than 100,000 pages of documents.
Since Burr and Warner began the investigation in January, the panel has interviewed dozens of intelligence and political officials to assess the extent of Russian interference in last year's election.

Officers say the driver intentionally swerved the van off the main road to mount the footpath, where he hit four pedestrians. He then jumped out of the vehicle and stabbed the cop "several times" and fled on foot as a dramatic manhunt was launched.
Burr said the committee's examination of the memos of former FBI Director James Comey "has reached a logical end as it relates to the Russian Federation investigation", indicating the committee didn't plan to delve further into the question of obstruction of justice, something Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating. "If somebody has come in and not been truthful with us, we will catch them on that, and they will come back".
The panel has interviewed everyone that was involved in drafting the campaign platform, he said. "[It's] not a practice that we're going to get into".
Comey authorized "a close friend" to leak the contents of his memos to the press after his dismissal, in order to prompt a special counsel investigation into what he found were the president's attempts to influence his investigations into former national security adviser Michael Flynn and other branches of the Russian Federation investigation.
Burr said the committee had interviewed seven people about that meeting, and that "the testimony of all seven were consistent with each other".
Mark Warner criticized Twitter last week for its response to Russian meddling, calling the company's briefing to congressional investigators "deeply disappointing".

More importantly, he was a tremendous husband, father, grandfather and friend and we will miss him deeply. Hockey broadcaster Dave Strader lost his battle with cancer Sunday morning at the age of 62.
"The committee can not really decide the credibility of the dossier without understanding things like who paid for it, who are your sources and sub-sources", Burr said.
The committee has scheduled only a handful of public hearings, during which intelligence officials and the committee leaders have underscored that last year's elections probably have encouraged Russian Federation to interfere in future US elections. "Who are your sources and sub sources?"
The probe also includes investigating Russian active measures. The White House is not up for grabs in the 2018 elections, but the midterm contests could have an impact on Congress. "There needs to be a more aggressive whole-of-government approach in terms of protecting our electoral system".
Warner was initially concerned that social media companies "did not take this threat seriously enough", but said that he has been seeing greater levels of cooperation.
