Michelle Williams to Star in 'Venom' Opposite Tom Hardy

Michelle Williams is in talks to star opposite Tom Hardy in Sony's "Venom" movie.

According to Variety's sources, Williams has been cast as a district attorney and possible love interest for Hardy's character, Eddie Brock. Sony had no comment on the casting.

Venom now has a 3.88 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the fourth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com users. Because it will not be set in the same universe as Spider-Man: Homecoming, it makes sense why the studio would introduce Ann Weying, as this would give them the option of a future She-Venom film.

Michelle Williams is best known for her Oscar-nominated work in dramas; Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine, My Week with Marilyn and Manchester by the Sea. And Williams can conversely bring in some aritistic and creative credibility that will help raise the movie's profile, despite not being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
