Tropical Storm Jose brings high winds, power outages

Jose's center is now located about 145 miles south-southeast of Nantucket, Massachusetts, and is moving northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

A tropical storm watch was issued over the weekend for southern CT, but it was canceled at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The storm is expected to weaken more over the next two days as it remains well east of Long Island.

Jose remains a strong tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour.
