Ayub Lelhari a district commander of terror outfit Lashkar-e Toiba was killed in an encounter

A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was on Wednesday killed in a brief gunfight in Bandarpora village in Pulwama district when he was travelling in a vehicle.

Ayoub Lelhari, the Pulwama district commander of the LeT, was killed in a swift encounter at Bandarpora in Pulwama.

Giving details of the gunfight, police said a "naka" (check-post) was set up in Banderpora (Koil) village jointly by Rashtriya Rifles, State police and CRPF after receiving information about the movement of the LeT district commander in the area.
