Terror struck again in Paris this morning as a driver who is still at large intentionally veered a vehicle into a crowd of soldiers in Saint-Mande, a Paris suburb, Fox News reports.

French officials said they conducting a counterterrorism investigation into the incident.

The vehicle appeared to clearly target the soldiers but the motive is unclear, a police spokesman said.

Mayor of Levallois-Perret, Patrick Balkany, condemned the attack as "an odious act of aggression", adding: "Without any doubt, it was a deliberate act".

The group of soldiers is part of France's Operation Sentinel, set up in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo terror attack in January 2015.
