Trump 'Weighed In' on Son's Misleading Statement About Russia Meeting

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said President Donald Trump was probably making a joke last week when he encouraged police officers to be tougher when making arrests. Trump Jr. eventually released emails showing he attended the meeting with the understanding that he would be given damaging information on Hillary Clinton from the Russian government. However, Trump personally intervened, dictating Trump Jr.'s statement himself while flying back from Germany on July 8, the Post reported.

The decision was initially made that Donald Trump Jr. was to release a truthful statement that "couldn't be repudiated" ahead of the release of the New York Times story, according to the Post. The information "would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russian Federation and would be very useful to your father", read one of the emails.

The Washington Post cited unnamed sources from the White House in its damning article, and since there already seems to be at least some truth to the allegations, people are starting to wonder whether the fatherly suggestions are a smokescreen like the one Trump Jr used.

A senior adviser said: "Now someone can claim he's the one who attempted to mislead".

She conceded fantastic robbery, great burglary auto, ownership of cannabis and documenting a false report in a hearing in June. The teen could also face additional charges for a battery incident in Lake Worth, Florida that happened earlier this year.

"Everybody wants to try to make this some story about 'misleading.' The only thing I've seen that's misleading is a year's worth of stories that have been fueling a false narrative about this Russian Federation collusion, and based on a phony scandal based on anonymous sources", she said.

Donald Trump and his advisors believed that the story had grave implications for the President and his political future, which is why they needed to come up with a strategy to counter it.

"If it's what you say I love it", Trump Jr. responded to his email correspondent, Rob Goldstone, a music promoter with business dealings in Russian Federation. In two televised interviews, Jay Sekulow said "the president was not involved in the drafting of the statement", "The president didn't sign off on anything", and "The president wasn't involved in that".

This isn't the first time Trump's role as father has seemingly overshadowed his position as president.

South Korea, US discuss greater THAAD deployment
The test reportedly occurred at the Sinpo Naval Shipyard on Sunday and is the third of its kind in less than a month. That activity caused US and South Korean forces to slightly raise their alert level, according to one official.

This is the central question raised by the Post's new report.

The statement went on to say that "it was not a campaign issue at the time".

Huckabee Sanders blamed the media for focusing on the Russian Federation investigations, which include probes by special counsel Robert Mueller and congressional panels. "The response came from Donald Trump Jr., I'm sure in consultation with his lawyer..." The reason? Because they apparently can't prevail upon him in person and they think he simply doesn't get what kind of jeopardy he is putting himself in. Mr Trump Jr later acknowledged that he had agreed to meet after being told Kremlin-linked information about Mrs Clinton would be offered during the talks.
